BYD Sea Lion 06 Launched on July 24

On July 24th, BYD Sea Lion 06 is officially launched with a price range of 139,800 to 163,800 yuan.

The Sea Lion 06 has dimensions of 4810mm in length, 1920mm in width, and 1675mm in height. It features unique double-layered front headlights and ring-shaped taillights. 

The Sea Lion 06 is available in two versions: plug-in hybrid (DM-i) and pure electric (EV). In terms of power, the BYD Sea Lion 06 DM-i will be equipped with the 5th-generation DM technology. Specifically, its 1.5L engine has a maximum power of 74kW, and the drive motor delivers a maximum power of 160kW. It is paired with battery packs with capacities of 18.316kWh and 26.593kWh. The CLTC pure electric range is expected to be 121km and 170km respectively, while the comprehensive range with a full tank of fuel and full charge is estimated to reach 1,500km. It also supports 53W DC fast charging and a 6kW external discharge function.

The Sea Lion 06 EV adopts the e-platform 3.0 Evo technology and offers both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive models. Among them, the two-wheel-drive version is available with rear-drive motors in two specifications: 170kW and 180kW. The four-wheel-drive version is equipped with front and rear dual motors of 110kW + 180kW, with a system comprehensive power of 290kW (394 horsepower). The battery pack capacities are 65.28kWh and 78.72kWh, and the CLTC cruising ranges are 520km, 605km, and 550km (for the four-wheel-drive version).

The Sea Lion 06 DM-i will adopt a front MacPherson/rear four-link independent suspension, while the Sea Lion 06 EV will feature a front double-ball-joint MacPherson/rear five-link independent suspension.

All trims of the new car come standard with artificial leather seats, as well as configurations such as electric adjustment for the driver and front passenger seats, front seat heating and ventilation, rear cup holders, automatic air conditioning, rear seat air vents, zone temperature control, and in-car PM2.5 filtration, delivering impressive comfort. Meanwhile, the new car also offers additional features in its two high-end trims, including a car refrigerator, a 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system, a 26-inch HUD (Head-Up Display), and 4-way lumbar support for the driver's seat, further enhancing the driving experience.

In terms of assisted driving, all trims of the Sea Lion 06 come standard with the "Tian Shen Zhi Yan - C" (God's Eye - C) assisted driving system. It is equipped with 5 millimeter-wave radars, 12 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars, along with the NVIDIA Orin-N assisted driving chip. This enables L2-level driving assistance functions, including essential features such as automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and lane keeping assist, all of which are included.
